Trevor's (surferdude) posting of some old photos got me thinking and I decided to post a few of my own ( being considerably younger than Trevor mine are in colour - mostly)
I've mentioned on here before my Mum and Stepdad had a Car dealership for the majority of my school years and we had a different (mostly) nice car in our driveway every week .. I found a few pix in my late Mum and Stepdad's photo albums (I am with my mum in two of these pictures and would have been 12 or 13 y/o maybe - so over 40 years ago)

Thanks to this exposure I've had a bad habit of swapping cars over the years (some 26 so far + numerous work supplied vehicles as well)

Here are pictures of some of my favourites .. I tried to sell the Fiat privately but ended up trading it on the Renault..

Had the Renault Virage 4 years did something like 130,000 kms in it ..Taken near denudedhills of Queenstown on our West Coast ...

The SSS pulsar was probably my favourite until the i30 Crdi... :happydance:

GSR was only 1600cc 2WD but had a very smooth motor (but not enough torque)
Trish loved the Green Pulsar (but loves her CW even more)

Our previous CRDi (great car)

Geez Dazz. I can't match that number even if I add in all my company cars. :-[
Some great memories there. Notice you've always had cats. :goodjob:
-
That cat was called Puccini (beautiful Siamese cat) :goodjob:
-
I'm digging up a few.
God. The memories.
Even found one of my VW on my (first) honeymoon. :-[

Will be interested to see them Trev (will you make a separate thread?)

If you like.
Your topic heading lends itself to anyone's pics of past cars the way it's worded. But happy to set up a separate entry.

I just thought mine might get a bit lost before others get to see it if it becomes cumulative..

I'm late to this thread for some reason :undecided:
Some nice cars there Dazz.
You even had a "Saintly" one. :)
And Coventry Cats too.
I'm glad you remembered to put the "Car thread" into the title or it could have been a very long thread :D

Excellent cars and memories ... almost has me reaching for the photies shoebox

Thanks guys I thought only Trev was going to comment there for a while... :blubber: .. My M & D actually had their "own" Red Volvo P1800 for a while (nice car).. In their later years they had a couple of Lancia HPE's and a SAAB Aero..
My Paternal Dad has had some great cars too including several different Jags and Daimlers a Maserati and the earliest Nissan Sylvia to enter Australia (he had it for about 30 years and did something like 300,000 miles in it I think ).. I'll try and find some photos.
-
Think most of my old vehicles would fit better in HOS :D
-
I found some photos of my earlier cars :happydance: and some photos of my Paternal Dad's Cars as well...
My First Car

My 808 Mazda.. M & D thought I was a lot safer than in the Torana but it only had crossplies until I lost it in the wet and quickly upgraded to Radials.. had a really annoying habit of sputtering when cold (not nice when pulling out in traffic) :sweating:
My Great little Fiat 3p with Tartan interior...
Lancer Sedan .. nice little car drove well but very basic (no goodies) :(
(http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm103/dazzling_darryl/LanCerSedan.jpg)
Old Auto Datsun 180B Wagon.. Drove really well but used more oil than petrol  ( was just a to and from work car for a short period)
Little Lancer SX hatch (nice little car ..) traded down to this and the tidy 1000cc Charade (parked behind it) for the Ex-Wife when we parted .. she blew the low kilometre charade up within 6 months... :disapp:
Now some of my Dad's cars.. Oldest Nissan Sylvia in Australia.. (featured in Nissan Magazine when he had it) also had a tidy GTV
(http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm103/dazzling_darryl/SylviaGtv.jpg)
Couple of his Jags..

Love the number plate on the Datsun : DB.........
Not sure why the SSS Pulsar earlier in the thread hasn't got plates on it.. We bought it as a Demo and it had DB1906 number plates which was amazing as my first wife had the initials DB and so do I of course.. and She was born in 1960 and i was Born in 1956.. so DB1906 was a great plate to get without having to pay anything :goodjob: (except $23,000 or something for the car ..)
