I am now the very happy owner of a red i30 1.6 Automatic. Premium 2009 model. The car was previously owned by my mother who has just bought herself something different. I am amazed at the spec of the car. It is obviously in very very good condition being only a little over 2 years old and has just under 14000 on the clock. The things I like about the car are the comfort, the handling ( very surprised ), the smooth transmission, the excellent visibility,the feedback through the steering, the very good stereo and the fact that I can carry all my music on a simple memory stick. My only criticism is the level of road noise. Have so far only driven a little over 250 miles in it ( mixed roads )  and am apparently averaging 39 to the gallon. Which I can live with.

Welcome DPP .. Congratulations...Is it a Diesel or a Petrol 1.6?

If you use the search function you will find a few threads on reducing the road noise level  :goodjob:

Sorry .....should have said..... it is a petrol engine. My mother had never re-set the trip computer and after 13500 miles she had averaged a tad over 35 to the gallon. I will take a look at the noise level threads. Many thanks.

Hi DPP, welcome to the forum.

You have an excellent low mileage car there. Sounds like it has done many short trips in it's life so far. A nice cruise along a motorway would probably do it good.  :)

It has had a few trips to Brighton on a fairly regular basis ( 90 mile round trip ) but the rest of the time it has been fairly short journeys. It is very nice knowing all the history.
