Title: Cortina GT
Post by: Surferdude on April 05, 2012, 02:14:50
This is not mine - belongs to a good friend and I apologise for the quality. It was raining and only my phone camera. The car is original and IIRC about 140,000 miles. He bought it off the original owner last year.

Lovely old car.
I love classic cars regardless of what they are.
My dad used to drive one of these when I was little (not a GT).
Do they call her Miss Piggy?  :)

On this thread alone there were at least 2 posts by db08, one by bumpkin, a couple more by me, at least one by 84 and one I think by either suculant or syecadelic and one or two from 2i30's.

Calling all Cortinas -- UK

IF you’re a Ford driver, here’s one for your diary: the Simply Ford rally at the National Motor Museum on May 6. The Ford Cortina is 50 this year and will be the main attraction.

Ford is bringing one along and anyone arriving in a Cortina can take part in a display in the Beaulieu arena.

To tell you the truth, I'm not a huge fan of white, which is bizzarre seeing as I've had 3 cars and one motorcycle that were white..... :undecided:

But, in saying that, I do reckon white suits the i30...... :D

I had a few rusty tanks in the car too.....

I found it hard to find a replacement fuel tank that wasn't as thin as paper.....
Was just another reason to get rid of it, that and it's appetite for starter motors and generators.

Curse you, Lucas! (Prince of Darkness)

Auto electricians loved Lucas..

Like when the XC Falcon was released, the guy at our local BP was ecstatic by the end of the first 12 months. Reckoned the XC Falcon would keep him in business for the next 10 years.

I always found Bosch better and used it if there was a choice.
