Title: Swapping interior door handles
Post by: Ralph1 on June 02, 2012, 08:22:08
Hi all,

How hard is it to swap out the grey plastic door handles on the i30 with the chrome ones on the more up-market models?

cheers

Ralph

I haven't had to do it but I can't imagine it would be too difficult for those handy with a screwdriver  :)

I would suspect it might be a bit tricky...

But I wouldn't rush to do it Ralph as the Chrome finish has been known to peel on those handles.

It happened to Us and to Dave (DB08) too I think plus a couple of others ...

That's true - the "chrome" peeled off the driver's door handle (and sliced my finger open  :'( ) but was replaced under warranty without question.

hey Ralph, tell your dealer that the chrome has peeled off and you need the handles replaced under warranty.  :whistler:    it might work.  :snigger:
