Just the time of year I think, it had been very wet the previous days, making him look a bit straggly, along with moulting of his winter coat.

Fairy nuff.
I guess also he's a bit out of the way of where his normal habitat is.
We have wild camels in Australia but they were introduced in the early days by Afghan traders.
We also have a lot of wild horses here too roaming the outback - all introduced of course.
