Title: Replacement Antenna
Post by: rustynutz on June 17, 2012, 07:25:46
Bought this replacement antenna a couple of weeks back.....  :link: (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Retractable-Carbon-Fiber-Antenna-Hyundai-Getz-i20-i30-/220776169660?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33674900bc)

Haven't noticed any deterioration as far as radio reception goes, so "bonus"....  :D

Why did you buy it?
Has there been any improvement in radio reception because mine's c.r.a.p.

JUst got it to be a bit different...no other reason.... :D

And I can't say I've notice any improvement in reception, certainly not on FM anyhow....  :undecided:

AM is very patchy on mine. It doesn't take much to lose it.

Was gonna suggest an FM "booster" if you had been referring to your FM reception....  :)

That's me, last century.
I prefer to choose my own music if I'm listening to music but I listen to a particular talk-back program to try to keep up-to-date with stuff.

It looks larger than the original. The thick part sometimes contains coiled wire to effectively lengthen the antenna & improve MW reception, but it might just be there for effect, can't tell.

Fully extended it's around 42mm longer and a bee's dick thinner at the base than the standard antenna..... :D
