GOT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES? => GENERAL => Topic started by: mwharvey on June 29, 2012, 02:28:50

Hi,
I traded in my MY09 I30 SLX auto diesel for the latest model.
It is a completely different feel but I am very happy.
I have a few issues though - my Samsung phone crashes a few seconds after paring the bluetooth. I think I need to get a new phone and after talking to Samsung about the issue, I wont be getting a Samsung phone.
Can anyone point me to a list of compatible phones for the i30?
The other thing is that the iPod cable doesnt seem to be recognizing my iPod. IT just plays as an Aux device.
I tried with some friends iPhones and it still wont work.
So, there are some teething problems.
Thanks
Mike.

Hi Mike,
Congrats on your purchase. Interestingly, one of our new members with the new model said he tested an iphone 4s in the last day or so with an apple cable and it worked fine.. Don't think there is a definitive list of suitable phones (but I could be wrong) .. Our current i30 didn't have bluetooth and our 2008 one didn't either of course..
Sure someone will be able to help. :goodjob:

There shouldn't be "teething" problems on a second generation model. It's the one that these problems should've been ironed out. And given that the earlier model's radios worked fine with most phones you'd have to suggest that there is a fundamental problem with the new unit.

We have one of these in the Tech Data section, here (https://i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=13438.0). Dunno if it helps at all

Standard iPhone USB cable appeared to work with our new GD premium but have not had a good play as I don't have any music on my iPhone 😳 we put some music on a USB thumb drive and have been using that. Will try to test with my wife's iPhone tomorrow, anything in particular you are looking for? Interestingly the Bluetooth appeared to freeze in ours the other day, it appeared to think it was still connected to my wifes phone and would not find another iPhone when searched. Worked OK again this morning connecting to mine so will keep testing so I can raise any concerns at the first check up service.
