Hi Hibs, welcome aboard. Sorry to hear you're having so many issues :(

Not everyone looks in the "Intro" section so I'll move your grief-laden topic to the "Problems" section, where you will undoubtedly get more input :D

Welcome,

You have been unlucky the i30 has an enviable reputation for reliability  :undecided:

The white smoke sounds like a dodgy Glow plug to me..

I have been informed that white smoke is unburned diesel fuel. Not much distance for a car of that age. Maybe a good spirited country drive might be in order

Welcome Hibs34.

I'm not techinically minded but if it was me I'd be asking the dealer to ask HY HQ to send someone to look at the car to try to establish the issues/rectification required

Quick update on the car it's been fixed thank god they replaced all the valve steam seals new glows and new injectors only took them two and half weeks not good for a car with 23000 on the clock but at least it hasn't smoked in a week of driving lets hope it stays good

A result and just shows that the 5 year warranty does work.

Keep us updated as the weeks progress.

Many miles of, now, carefree motoring.

Its just a shame you have to wait so long for Hyundai UK to authorise any work, had to wait nearly 2 months for peeling steering wheel despite it being a known problem.
Advised dealer wheels are corrodded, car booked in for service in 2.5 weeks, I said can run it down & you take picks & get wheels replaced during service, dealer informs me claim wont be sorted by then, surely dealers have some sort of self authorisation.
