Into historic jet age with a whisper jet performance from the Glost Meteor, I tried to transport myself back into middle England when they were testing this plane and what the public must have felt seeing this fast jet almost silently passing over, it must have been eerie, amazing and even frightening. Incredible.

The last shot was later in the day when she left for home.
After an earlier solo display by one of the Pitt Specials, two of them went up as the Wildcats Aerobatic Team.

After that a display from the Hurricane and Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Dakota was meant to be with them, but ironically the old workhorse was one that failedto make it due to the winds.
