....gear shift indicator screen, the back light flickers and is very annoying, there was a technical service bulleten which has now closed, anyone else suffered from this problem, oh and part is on back order.

I had a flashing display panel earlier this year - happened usually after start up.  Very distracting at night time.  From what I gleaned the dealer knew this as an issue.  Instrument cluster was replaced to resolve this (it has done) however mileometer is reset to zero in the process.
