The UK's first major fourth generation (4G) mobile service has gone live in 11 cities.

London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow and Southampton will have access to network EE's 4G from Tuesday morning.

Other mobile networks will not be able to offer 4G until next year.

Post by: TazManiac on October 30, 2012, 21:19:27: I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong Dazz, that 4G in Tasmania is only available in one spot. Inside the Telstra shop in Hobart city. Everywhere else you are on the old networks. Not sure that we even got 3G down here.

Not sure Aaron, I am reasonably happy with my 3G (or NextG) or whatever it is called :whistler:
