Title: Fergie booked in for her 100,000 mile gynaecological exam
Post by: Shambles on November 12, 2012, 11:09:58
*gulps*

In she goes on 26th Nov for a few fluid changes and a top-to-bottom inspection :D

Just got off the phone and their best price is £264 ($402AU, €330).

100,000 miles or 8 year service, and still running as sweet as a nut :happydance:

Yeah, 84 miles per workday (mostly motorway, which is why my tyres survive so long I guess).

Off down to Birmingham next week for a day or two, so that'll chew up quite a few more miles

When I was a teenager I used to live in a street called Townley Gardens in suburban Birmingham.  :)

Have you looked on Google Earth street view to see what has happened to Townley gardens since you were a lad. I imagine the houses you see will have been built since your time. It now finds itself in the middle of a rather poor area of Birmingham called Aston - populated mainly by Asians and other ethnics who suffer a high rate of gang related crime and the scene of many shootings. The famous Balti restaurant area of Birmingham is fairly close and the Aston Villa football ground is only a few minutes walk from Townley gardens. I worked about a mile from there in the 1970's for a few years and know the area well. We still go there occasionally for a good Indian meal.

No I haven't but I will. Thanks Alan.
Yes, I remember that Aston Villa was a walk away from there and I could also see Spaghetti Junction from my bedroom window.
We didn't have those issues as I remember back then, but although newish at the time, it probably wasn't a great area as that is where they housed prison officers which is what my father was at the time at Birmingham jail.

Well over here they started arriving around September 2007; Fergie was registered in March 2008 so I guess she's close to the starting grid :)
