I own i30 1.6crdi and last night when I lock the car the locks but side lights doesn't flash ,when I press unlock the car they working as should.I can't understand why the light is not flashing while I'm locking the car.Thank you very much!"
Note: I'm using remote control
-
Check the doors are closed.
Lights won't flash if they are not closed, another hint is the dash will remain alight and show which door is open.
-
Thanks.
All doors are closed as should be.I'm just wondering if it's there alarm mode or anything which I did by pressing a few times the remote butons
-
Not that I know of mate.
Does the dash show a door that the computer things is open? Perhaps there is an issue with the door.
I know on my wives old car any issue of that nature was an issue with the door's acculatator or whatever that's called....
-
When I close the doors the dash shows all closed and if I open a door it shows on the dash that there is an a open door.
The doors locking and unlocking works OK but there is no lights flashing when locking.
-
Is the boot actually locked, when you think it is?
-
It sounds like it is locking but for some reason it is not alarmed. After you lock it try opening it with the key. You'll know then if it's alarmed because it will tell you.
If it's not alarmed it does sound like one of the four doors, hatch or bonnet is detected as still open. There will be other reasons not to alarm but I don't know what they are.
-
I just did a test and all doors locks and unlocks OK.I try the boot and it's work OK as well.My next test was to unlock the car with the key when is locked with remote and the car unlock all door and I open them but there was no alarm activated(no sound or flashing),Try to start the car and it's starts OK,so the alarm is no working or?!?
Does any one has been reading the alarm functionality and modes?I'm asking because I haven't any owner manual or book for my car at all. Thanks!
-
Did they ever work? What's the car's history?
Reason I ask is if it has been used for security or law enforcement it may have some form of 'stealth' setting to hide the flashes.

It is not arming at all else the door could not be opened without first disarming (with remote) and not have the alarm sound. Apart from doors/bonnet there will be other conditions to be met before the alarm function is armed. As I said, I don't know what they will be.
Before worrying about that I'd also check that opening and closing each door/hatch/bonnet in turn shows correct state in the dash indicator. This will test the door switches.
-
I did that test for each door and all seams to be OK.My last discovers is that the remote locks the car but without alarming it.Now I'm gonna test the bonnet switch.

Thanks gays for your advises.
The problem now is solved - it was the bonnet switch(the bonnet doesn't press the switch very well)!
-
...it was the bonnet switch..
Yay - result.

What worries me is the "U" and the "A" are nowhere near one another on the keyboad. :P
