Title: New (2012) i30 aerial connections
Post by: Tigerfeet13 on January 03, 2013, 22:50:15: I am taking delivery shortly of a 2012 (New shape) i30 1.6 CRDi 110PS Diesel Blue Drive Manual and would like to fit a hideaway dab tuner, probably this one http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_digitizor_DAB_DAB_plus_DMB-A_car_radio.html. (http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_digitizor_DAB_DAB_plus_DMB-A_car_radio.html)

Does anyone know what aerial connectors the factory head unit uses and will I need adapters for the DIN connectors on the DAB unit?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I recalled someone posting a pic of the stock factory unit just recently so, after a bit of searching I managed to find it.... :happydance:

In terms of the Aerial these adapters were required

MediaDAB items AAN2135 & AAN2133 for Hyundai/Kia

It seems that although the connector into the factory head unit is a standard DIN connection the aerial lead is not and Hyundai use a short adaptor lead.

Hope that helps some other forum users.
