Its not listed on the service check list.

Wouldn't this be better as part of the other poll?
Actually, would glow plugs ever be changed routinely?

I was toying with having 1 poll but decided to split as 2 as the question to cover both was as long as "War and Peace"
Actually, would glow plugs ever be changed routinely?
As spark plugs are changed in the petrol I think every 2 years I would have expected that Glowplugs were changed also but at a longer interval.
sootytorques says not in service schedule but as you have had, I think the equivalent of the 5th year service, have yours ever been changed?
-
..have yours ever been changed?
Nope. They don't appear on the schedule and I'm sure they're one of those things that aren't classed as consumables either, meaning they're probably supposed to be maintenance-free and last the life of the engine. I hope mine do

Cheers.
Be interested to see what service schedules say or don't, for other parts of the world.

@ Shambles we have two nightmare i30's both 2010 60 reg, one car has had 2 lots of glow plugs as faulty, the other i30 is fine though.

^-- yes I remember. Not something that a dealer would change routinely, though, as part of a regular service...
So the poll could only ever have "no" votes, imho
