Tuesday, we drove down to the Pumicestone Passage for coffee at our favourite spot. Make the coffee at home in insulated mugs, take some lamingtons or bikkies and sit at this table in the shade of the Cotton Tree. With a book. This is the view we have.

Wednesday we took off on one of our "retirees' day trips". :P On this occasion our daughter was with us on holidays and hadn't been to Kingaroy, so we drove through Beerwah, Peachester, Woodford, Kilcoy, Moore, Blackbutt, Yarraman and Nanang to Kingaroy for lunch. We've done this trip before and it was nice to re-visit. But we enhanced this drive by then heading for the Bunya Mountains which I have never actually driven up before. Definitely worth it.
This vid was taken from the lookout at Mt Mowbullan.

A Bunya Pine which gives the region its name. IIRC, the Bunyas only fruit every three years and aboriginal tribes from as far away as the Tweed district used to congregate here every three years to feast on the Bunya nut and (among other things) settle any outstanding tribal or family feuds. Usually with spears at 20 paces. :disapp:

Love your work. Long ago I used to climb the comms tower there for work. I recall lots of wallabies grazing out the back. Tis a nice part of the world.

Pics work great (and are great!) but the vids just say:
"Sorry, the geographical area filmed in this video is far better than that from which you are trying to view. Please try later or move to a better part of the world"
