Hey to all you I30 enthusiasts :D
The I30 is going to be here within the week
1 Year old exactly . jst over 6k on the clock, and a great deal.. new price about £11,600, getting it for £6,500.Its the base model, though there isn't much basic about it. Was going for the I20, but the dealer had a second hand i30 in for better value. Persauded the father, and he couldnt be happier with whats coming.
Going to get a set of new speakers in it hopefully if all goes well, if anybody can give advice it would be very appreciated :)
All the best for now
Sye

Hi Sye, welcome to the club. Get some pics up when you can :)
Advice? Ask, and it shall be yours.
And send our regards to Mandy :D
-
Welcome
Are you the one who has send me a message on youtube? :p
-
Welcome syecadelic
That's a very keen price.
Is it an import from southern Ireland/England/Scotland/Wales?
Did I miss something - Who's mandy?
-
welcome sye...
-
Hi Sye and welcome
-
Hi Sye and Welcome (like your user name)
Would be interesting to know why the previous owner sold (and if he bought another Hyundai..)
-
Web link to Hy Ireland:
http://www.hyundai.ie/configurator/index.cfm?fuseaction=hy.overview&modelID=1994&bodyID=4236
1 euro = £0.92 GBP
1 euro = $1.9867AUD
So you can convert the model of your choice you wish to compare.
PS check out differences in spec of models compared to OZ and UK.
-
Hi Sye from your Celtic cousins in Bonnie Scotland.
Note that Hy IRL do not have the 1.6 petrol premium as an option!
-
Mandy is my gf, been with her for over 2 years... <-- this is rather awkward now lol
the car as a Uk, and not an import.
tzwientjuh - prpobly did,, about speakers ?> lol
and the previous owner sold his car, due to the fact that evry year on his birthday he changes his car, he bough the exact same car, same colour spec and evrything else. Asked the dealer the same,
dazzling_darryl - thanks for the compliment
and as for pictures il c wot i can do, tried to get some on earlier but the size was too big so if any pictures are posted they will be on my site, and il link to them when needed

No probs.. Gee bet the dealer loves that customer
-
Hi Sye - like you said that is a great deal and if it's the Comfort model you get a lot of kit as standard. :)
-

Most use photobucket to host pics.
Do not attach as this uses up bandwidth.
I have the UK spec Comfort in Stone Black.
The spec is awesome, especially as ESP is standard which is either an extra in other markets or only on top of range.
Is it petrol or diesel?
-
Hey Sye! Welcome! I'm new myself and it's such a friendly bunch in here! I like it that so many people are passionate about the i30... makes me feel like I made the "rightest" of all right choice.
That's an awesome price. I wonder if the previous owner's male/female... single/married....... old/young...:P Guess when I head down to Ireland/England/Scotland late this year, I'll be seeing lotsa i30s on the road!
-
I wanna know what the dealer would say if your friend goes in and tries to buy a different car off the same salesman and asks the same question.
Either that's the best explanation I've ever heard a salesman spiel, or you're a lucky lucky i30 owner, because a person of that description - who buys a new car every year - probably doesn't thrash his cars. My psychoanalysis says as much anyway.
-
Wanted to say firstly...
WOHOOOOO 4 star rating now, :happydance: and a really awesome purple colour for my name now :) might stop posting so i dont lose the purple :P
Secondly, Also only realised that this is talking about the silver i30 i wrote off 3 months after my dad getting it.. oops!
As everyone here probably knows by now, i actually drive a 2008 1.6 CRDi Premium in Shine Red. with a lot of work carried out on it. Pictures in other threads, (they need updated but i'll get round to it.. eventually...
Anywho....

Now that you've said that, can you explain to me why that is.
Personally I always like it when someone bumps an old thread. I find it interesting to read how people thought a few years ago and also revisit who was around then.

i agree certainly, however its better i think to keep it all together, lets people see the change. depends how significant the new post would be, if it warrants a hole new post.
who said bringing the dead back to life was impossible

I can't see why bumping an old thread is a problem either.. If it is a similar topic or a thread about the same car it is fine with me :happydance:

It's fairly common ppractice on forums but I don't know why. Maybe we can both learn something.
"Shambles". Calling "Shambles".
You're on.

It's whatever people prefer. I'm not a fan of bumping very old threads, particularly "intro" threads
