My 2012 GD i30 CRDi has now had its first service (12 months – 10,000 miles).
All was fine.
It was interesting to find that the total cost of £139 inc VAT was £23 lower than the cost of the first service for my previous FD i30 CRDi in 2011 which was carried out by the same dealer.
Labour costs and work content were identical – but all the parts were lower priced – especially oil - which was £19 less.

Yes indeed Alan it was the price that I noticed too.. :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:
-
And a free air freshener - must have thought you needed one :P
Great price I have to say :goodjob:

My 1.4 petrol is due its first in May I've paid up front, special offer when I bought, for the first 3 so I'll have to ask.
-
isn't the first 'service' just a interim maintenance check? and a full service is at 20,000 miles or 24mths? thats what it says in the book.
also aint they suppose to put in Shell engine oil which is recommended?
-
They are able to use any of the leading brands of oil provided it is the correct low ash lubricant conforming with the appropriate diesel engine technical specification. Mobil is fine.

Compared to prices some have quoted that seems great value Alan :cool!:
