Hi All,
I am sooooo excited I have just ordered and paid for my new number plates to match my new car. They will read: ' MY I30 ' and I got 'em in vivid blue. I couldn't resist the temptation, when I saw the name of the colour, I knew it was meant to be!
Cheers

Nice one Razz. If we ever meet we should take a photo of our cars together. We have OURI30 in blue on white on a white car.

Thanks for the support. I my family and most of my friends think its a waste of money. But you know what they say, "whatever makes you happy...". I am glad someone else feels the same as me! :)
-
It's male tools not like the females out shopping all the time :P :)
-
I don't think it's a waist of money, as in some cases can be an investment.
i like dining out in expencive resturants, some say thats a waist of money. but what i say is, if you work hard, enjoy the rewards and enjoy life.
cheers

I was going to go with something cool, but my wife put her foot down and suggested that this was our car, not my car, and so I ended up getting both of our initials (edit - mine first of course :D) and year of birth in the XX 11 YY format on Silver with Black writing (on a silver car). The colour matching looks great.
Another note, my mother in law pointed out how funny it is that I'll buy the spoiler and install it myself rather than including it in the price to save stamp duty & installation costs, but I'm willing to throw ~$200 away on a number plate. Priorities of the human mind are a mystery!

I'm still up in the air, I am starting to think I will look a bit pretentious, which ain't my style. They aren't ready yet so I have a bit more time to make up my mind!

Go for it... don't care what others think...If you want them, have them
-
Yeah, they can't be as gay as sheepskin on the seats
-
I'm not the one that wears a skirt...
-
Not that you'd admit to anyway
-
Fellas, you make me laugh!!!
Got the letter in the post to say they are ready ( shame my car isn't ) so I had better make up my mind. Have decided I will have a look at them first and then decide. Anyway, If I get bored of them I can sell 'em off.

My plates are from our local shire - so I have 0666-CH (666 was already taken). Now I'm paranoid that people who dont know me too well might think I actually worship the devil! Especially dropping my son off at school - and the other day my paranoid gossiping religious Aunty caught sight of it and she turned white as a ghost! Oh well they can think what they like - I dont chew bats heads off or sacrifice babies so I know the truth! Go ahead and get them Misswicket - who cares what other people think you know the truth yourself.
-
MissW, i don't think they would be an investment. i think the plates that say something about the owner or can make others laugh or feel good are the one's i like. Like the brand new Rolls i saw with "Battler" plates made me laugh.
but your proud of your new baby and if they make you feel good inside even if only for a month or so. go for it.
cheers

I was going to get plates something along the lines of JAY130 or JAYI30...i30 related but I was in a silly mood and just ordered LOLJAY in black and white (which I haven't seen on a silver car yet, I hope it looks good).

Well, my husband has already 'wasted' $200 on me a few xmases ago on personalised number plates (just boring old initials but I liked it :)) - and now he is about to do it again, because my old plates are getting very dusty on a shelf somewhere in Perth, because I couldn't bring them to the NT with me :'( . Didn't feel like paying out money for personalised plates for my rusty old Pajero, but they will look lovely on my new I30 (when it eventually arrives )
