Title: No oil filters

I had my car booked for my 15k service today and when I got there they me tell that they don't have any oil filters. :eek:
They said they called (only one missed call, must have been them). The highway here has been flooded recently by some freak rains lately (predicting more on the way). The service guy tells me that it is actually taking longer than usual to fly it in. :eek: :eek: :mad: Dunna when its going to come in. I'm leaving for Nepal next week, so hopefully it comes by early next week. Why??????????? :'(

They are a bit slack.. when I went in to order a filter for the 7500 Km service I got done by my friendly independent it took them a week to rustle one up...

But when I booked my 15000 service with only a couple of days notice they didn't have a problem... So must have had stocks by then...

I'm not doing a 22,500 service because I'm doing mostly long trips and will hit 30,000 around her 1st birthday... :D

i go and buy them myself so i know, they sure ask a lot of questions when you go to buy a oil filter eliment. but i do it for the very reason. get a few and keep them.

it's a good idea, as they are sealed so no dust or dirt can get to them while stored. i don't know why dealers don't keep stocks, seems strange to me as its a normal service item.

Booked it in for 2day its being serviced....lets see what they have to say about my locked door.
patiently waiting :)

Update: just returned from the dealer. The door's fault was of a faulty acuator. Someone else had this same problem(think it was eye30). Another problem I had was a rattle coming from the the Left front passenger seat belt area, but apparently its the door trim thats hasn't been aligned properly according to the service guy. So now will have to wait for both parts to come in.

Hi Dazz... Yea I was hoping they wouldn't say that. Anyways will see how it goes after I get back from my trip.

i have that noise too, thought it was the belt clip that's causing it, but it still rattles even if the seatbelt is in use.  :neutral:
