GOT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES? => GENERAL => Topic started by: wrx43 on April 15, 2013, 05:25:26

Hi folks,
I have a 2012 FD cw and had noticed that when the car is stopped, one or more windows are down and ignition turned to accessories, that winding up any windows stops when a door is opened. There's a little click then nothing. Windows are fine otherwise.
Can any one else with a 2012 FD check this out to see if it happens to them too? It certainly is not a big issue but something I'll get looked at under warranty if it's just me.

Normal, I believe. I'll check it out this evening.

My Hybrid does the same thing (haven't checked the wife's CW but I think it is normal for most cars)

When I stop my engine I get around 30 seconds to close up any open windows before the electrics are shut off with a mild 'ping'. Opening a door during that time shuts the system off straight away, so I guess it's normal.

Yup, like Shambles said, perfectly normal. Removing the key won't cancel the timer to get your windows up, but any door opening will. Yelling at your passengers helps with the timer :D

Thanks everyone. I'll employ Hati's yelling solution. It's already a strength of mine from raising teenagers.

I don't get the "ping" but th electrics do shut off a little while after the ignition is turned off.
But I can still keep putting my window up as I open the door.
