Hi Can anybody tell me how to take out the high level brake light, Is it attached from the back and so I would have to remove the trim from the inside or does it just prize out from the outside. Regards scotty

I'm a little confused, are you talking about the brake light globe in the rear lights,if it is the globe your talking about and it is an FD I30,open the rear hatch you will see pop out tabs beside the light under them are the fastening screws.take these out and the light asembly comes out easily, then behind you will find twist to remove globe holders, replace you globe and then reverse order to put it back together.
If it is not the brake globe your talking about I can't help Ya

Hi Thanks for reply, its the brake light located on the hatch above the rear windscreen, I cant see any screws from outside but didnt want to start pulling off the trim till I was sure. Ive got water drplets in it regards joe

never had mine out something I will have a look at tomorrow if I think of it,but I wouldn't imagine them just having it clip in with out some sort of fastener

Yes that was what I was thinking but I dont want to try and pull off the trim on the inside in case I damage it regards scotty

Would you believe they want £150.00 for that item, in the UK. Take it to the dealer and have them replace it. We had 1 replaced last service (water intrusion).
Normally, the LED's inside will outlast the lifetime of the car, they are not bulbs so they won't "blow".

I just replaced a new one under warranty due to internal crack. The engineer did not fit it properly, so I have to do it again by myself. Take off the upper trim above the rear windscreen (it's not fixed by metal screw) from the inside, and you will see the screw bolts, remove them and wire and take out the LED brake light. I just did it few weeks ago.

thanks for the info.
led great i’ll leave well alone unless it stops working

If water interferes, you may find that SOME Led's don't light up, doesn't look very nice but the light still works, get the dealer to replace for you. It was a bad decision to put the rear washer, in the same unit IMO. :fum:
