Title: fuel economy so far.
Post by: wayne on May 23, 2013, 18:57:58
Well having owned my 62 plate i30 style for 2 weeks I can report that "hydi" is doing 49.1 mpg around town.   I think I will get the best out of my diesel on motorways.  Don't know how Hyundai come out with there figures, I can never see my car doing the quoted 67.3 urban 78.5 extra urban or 74.3 combined.

That's 5.75 L/100Km using the forum's fuel economy converter. A nice start for brand new but you'll get it a lot lower in the months or even years to come.  :goodjob:

Very nice, Wayne, and you've chosen the best, most practical, stylish and attractive colour. :goodjob:

Those houses in the background are reminiscent of the housing we were given in the Vale of the White Horse when we were there: red brick, white frame double-glazed windows - must be very common and not just for MOD types. :D

Thanks for the pics.
I know the cars all sort of look similar but I never tire of looking at them.
It's probably the different colours, settings, etc, but they always look different.
Nice job.

Thanks for the kind comments, yes I love the colour too especially in the sunshine.  I've added some chrome dustcaps from ebay which cost me all of £1.98  :D   The houses were built in the 1950's when materials were still hard to get hold of so the most economical way was the sloping roof.  I've changed the front of my house to help add a bit more space.   Don't know why I called her hydi?  I guess hydi hyundai goes well together.   :D :D :D    More pictures to follow.   :goodjob2:
