Title: Fitting a roof spoiler
Post by: Steve i30 on June 14, 2013, 17:14:35
Hi All,

I am contemplating a roof spoiler for my i30.

I can get one ready painted, but being new to i30 ownership, I'm not sure how these spoilers are fitted.
I guess its not held on with trim tape alone????

Does anyone have any hints on how these are fitted....I'm pretty good with cars and DIY if this helps!!!!!

Cheers,

Steve.

Hi again Steve.. I posted a video of fitting a spoiler to the Wife's CW (I assume it is the same for the Hatch)...

Thanks Dazz, I've often wondered about getting a spoiler for the back of my i30.  I was a bit concerned about the fitment of the spoiler by an unqualified person (me) but it looks simple enough.  Now I just have to wait and see how long I will keep my current car for....

..and a spoiler balances up the back of the FD hatch nicely (in hindsight I should have put one on my FD hatch)  :undecided:

If you buy a GD they come as standard.

Hi Jesse,

Over here in Britain I can get a genuine Hyundai one from a Hyundai dealer called SG Petch.

He can supply one, ready painted in vivid blue, including the fixing kit for around £160GBP.

I'm not sure what that equates to in Australian dollars though.

Hope this helps

Cheers, Steve   :)

Around A$270 at the moment (would have been a bit less a few days ago)  :Pout:
