Police cordoned off Manchester City Centre this morning when a suspicious object was discovered in a car.
It later turned out to be a tax disc.

Funny stuff, but I can't see anyone outside GB understanding it
-
That car was in Dundee as well!
-
 Guess I might need to do some googling...

What's so good (or bad) about Dundee.
I only now it for the cake the Beano and Dandy
-
Ahh, I remember the days when they used to use Guinness bottle labels...
-
Just a little local rivalry eye, they slag us we slag them, you know the form.
Well done last night by the way, notice how all the best teams in England are managed by Scots? Well maybe apart from Sunderland
-
is it about the disk that went missing ?
-
No, the tax disc is a piece of paper which we have to buy to make our vehicles road legal and is displayed in the windscreen.
Failure to display should result in a fine or in extreme cases the vehicle being uplifted and potentially destroyed.
Unfortunately they are not very good at upholding this law so in some areas it is unusual to find a car with a tax disc.
