Post by: TonyJ on February 08, 2009, 10:49:54
Thought I'd keep the pattern going. Ordered a CRDi SLX today. My first diesel so will be interested to see if the test drive was a good indication.

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum. I am also interested to know when your promised delivery date is. I'm still waiting on my SR and I ordered it the first week in 2009. What colour did you choose, and what other cars did you look at before choosing the i30. Hope you get lots from the forum, it has been really valuable to me.
Cheers,
Misswicket :)

G'day Shambles. We specifically asked for "not before early March" while we get hold of the cash. Dealer said no problem, he'll get it in do all the prep work (tinting, paint protect etc.) and it will be ready when we are. Thats yet to be proven tho!

Hi Misswicket.
We specifically asked "not before early March" so we had time to get the cash. My wife (its her car) had her heart set on Black but quickly changed her mind when the dealer said he'd do a deisel in White,Red or Vivid blue for the same price he'd originally quoted the Black petrol version. So she swallowed her pride and opted for the Vivid Blue.
He said no problem on delivery so assume they had the three offered already on order.
We'll see!!
PS We didn't look at any other car really she's had an Elantra for 8 years and has been very happy with that. I priced a Peugeot 307 and an Impreza but by the time you add the whistles and bells that the i30 already has you are looking at at least another $5-6k. No contest when it won the NRMA award.
