I saw in the paper this morning, i30 5 door, going for $19,990 'driveway.' Special Edition i30. What are the extras? like the Trophy I have? :eek:

Might be a miss print Lester.. I did a quick google and the only reference I found for OZ was the 3 door as a special edition drive away for $19,990.. :undecided:
There are 5 doors drive away for $19,990 or less though..

Thanks Dazzler, might be. I note the Czech 3 door i30 has a 1.6 motor. Think I will stick to my FD i30 Trophy 2 litre, goes well.
I think our British friends on here slammed the Czech i30's did they not? :Shocked:

Actually Lester, some of them have been sitting on the fence :snigger: The FD series cars from the Euro factory did seem a little more prone to QC issues than the Korean factory cars we got.
It is perhaps a little early to judge the QC comparison with the GD series but my gut feeling is the Euro factory may have lifted and the Korean factory may have slipped so not much in it now. :cool:

Driving past the Burnie Hyundai Dealership yesterday (wrong side of the road and quite a bit of traffic so couldn't take a photo)
There was a 3 door i30 parked out the front (a silver one) .. I think they look slightly nicer than the 5 door and should sell well at A$19,990 driveaway :goodjob:

Thanks Rusty, they must have longer doors, be a pain in tight parking sport but i rarely use rear doors

I still have not seen one yet. i'm wondering what the point of a two door with same wheelbase is? like whats the attraction? cheaper price? easier yo get in or out drivers seat? drivers seat more adjustment?

Price (and only a 1.6 petrol so slightly more economical)
Plus looks might appeal to the young ladies .. I can see them selling a few :goodjob:
They are fairly well spec'd at the price (to offset the smaller engine) e.g. standard alloys...
I wonder if the lower Aussie dollar will jeopardise these and the Euro built Tourer imports going forward??

I see Hy has readjusted their fuel economy rates on both the diesel and the petrols now here in Aust,from 4.7 to 6.3,wonder what sparked this change on their behalf,wonder if it was all us whinging tightass I30 buyers.

With the 3 door i30 on sale for $19990, it has the 1.6 engine, what is that like? Czech made? Anyone on here got one? Thinking of buying one for my Missus, trade in the Micra ST-L.
