After the initial fun and games to get the OAT hooked up and working, things were OK for a couple of months, then, one morning it went beserk - bouncing around all over the scale, before looking like it was going through a reboot, scrolling up and down the scale for about 10 mins, before settling down again.
It's done this twice since, then, this morning, in the 0 C outside air it started to do it again then shut the whole radio unit down, restarted, and we then had to go through the whole security code thing (once it was light enough to see the numbers on the card), before spending another 10 mins or so scrolling up, down and about, before finally settling down again. Now we can't reset the clock!! And we have to reset all the radio stations - luckily the bluetooth settings seem OK.
Anyway - anyone else had this weird behaviour - (012 FD SX CW diesel).?

Mine does something similar, but mainly when the temp gets below 2C then the head unit reader just goes wild, spinning out of control shooting up to as hich as 89c then slowly coming dow to 4 or 5 c then once below goes through the whole episode again.
Mind you don't blame it once it gets down to 2 or 3 C I go a be mental as well, like this morning it got down to minus 2.4 wasn't even worth switching to the temp gauge, would have been a black flashing blob.
