Hey quick question. I have 07 i30 1.6 CRDI hatchback and pretty much as I got closer to hitting 99'999 on the clock the DPF light on the panel lights up when I start the car and disappears after about 10-20 seconds.
Would it be affected by the heat? For the past week we have had the hottest weather this car has probably seen since it was built, but the DPF indicator turns on at night when its cooler as well.
Any idea's?

AFAIK, the light for DPF is activated by sensing a pressure difference before and after the filter. I presume it's telling you that there is some build up that requires attention, only if the light stays on. As it's an 07 car, I assume during your ownership the DPF has regenerated correctly, so I won't go into the type of driving to keep the DPF happy.

Welcome evolutionqy7..... :drinks:
I didn't think the i30 had a DPF that early in it's model life... :undecided:

I am fairly sure that the DPF was not introduced on the 1.6 CRDi until 2009 or perhaps 2010. I very much doubt that a 2007 i30 would have one.

My old 57 plate didn't have dpf.
Must have been registered prior to launch in sept 07 so i'm sure it won't have dpf.
