Post by: Doggie 1 on July 26, 2013, 11:52:11
Not sure if I'll get there yet (depends on work) but I'm intending to go here this weekend:

If I do I'll try to get some pics to share.

   Tight arse.
I've been before but want to go again because they've got a Bitter Apricot P76 Executive in there that I want to have a look at.
But there's also a lot of other interesting cars as well plus plenty of cafes etc in York to enjoy a coffee & cake.  :D

I'm a Huge Tight Arse and proud of it  :happydance:
I will have to go in there one day, only took me 26 years to get to Rottnest and that was on tickets and a tour that we where given by a freind as they couldn't go,I certainly wouldn't be paying what most morons pay to go there regularly.

Yes, thanks Dazz.
A couple of us (and a dog) went up but just in one car (white P76) today.
Had a bit of lunch which was good and two of the worst cups of coffee imaginable (York is not known for its Baristas), went to the museum and had a look around, especially at the Bitter Apricot P76 that is in there. It's a late build (6/74) and came from the factory with Force 7 wheels (from the stillborn coupe) and a LSD, is a one owner and has low kms.
Being in a museum it has copped a bit of wear and tear body-wise, but still a nice example.
Then we headed home just in time for beer o'clock.  :D

Nice lot of photos, Dave...  :goodjob:

Seeing that Morgan 3 Wheeler bought back memories of the 1986 Mother Hardy's Bike Rally I attended.

A replica Morgan 3 Wheeler turned up having driven all the way from Perth....apparently unregistered!

It was powered by a Moto Guzzi V Twin engine....

Dave, I thought that p76 looked a bit rough. I thought museums were supposed to preserve cars??? Pretty much all the cars in the Launceston museum are in Pristine condition. I'll show you when you visit us ... hint hint. :D

The cars are in whatever condition they are donated or bought in minus wear & tear I guess.
Although not concours, it is actually quite a nice example although if it was mine I would want to repaint it.
Hint taken.  :D
