Title: Convert Miles to Kilometers
Post by: Souzounaki on August 10, 2013, 07:46:46
Hello

I just bought a second hand uk export here in Cyprus...
The digital odometer is in Miles.... I wanted to know if there is any way to change it to Kilometers. If there is a way will it also change the consumption from mpg to l/100m

Thanks

What year model and spec is it? It's possible the option is covered in the handbook. Did it come with a handbook? If not, given the answer to the first question, someone may be able to check theirs for you.

Hi, I seem to recall someone with the new GD series saying they can do that, but be very surprised if can in a 5 year old FD  :undecided:

Hey thanks for your replies...

There is nothing in the manual that I have seen so far but I dont think they would mention it there.

Basically it would cost the company alot of money to make digital odometers that are Country specific or metric/imperial etc...
So you make one type that can be altered according to where they are going etc...
Now I dont know if there is an easy way of doing it or if something more advanced that has to be done by the service department.
Tried calling them but they on holiday... Summer in Cyprus... you cant get anything done but work on your tan....

It's almost certainly a software solution you're after, so yes - the dealership should be able to advise.

I'm pretty sure the dealer via their computer can alter the settings for the specific country.

I've a car just like yours, well of course it have the steering wheel in the right side, which is left side  :snigger:
