Title: Maths problem

To open the Excel spreadsheet click on the attachment

Please try this. It is not a trick and I managed to get it after a certain amount of time!

5th Grade Math Problem
Good luck!
This is a 5th grade math problem. If you can open the spreadsheet, you'll see it's a very small list of people who have gotten the correct number. This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem so don't say that a bus has no legs.
There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?
(The number of legs is the password to unlock the Excel sheet. If you open it, add your name and send it on to see who else can unlock it.)

Do you have write numbers or letters?

Once you think you have calculated the number of legs, click to open the attachment and a password box appears.

You enter the number in the box, click Ok and the spreadsheet opens.

You then add your name.

I feel sorry for those without access to Microsoft Excel. Even an Excel viewer isn't enough :P

No, I recalculated it. And it was wrong again, but then i saw I made a mistake and knew the answer.

So I deleted that post with the calculation so people can't copy ;)

Well done to those who have done it.

Not as straight forward as you first think.  Need to think about it then do the calculation.

Took it into work today and asked some 20 people to calculate the answer.

Now out of so called professional people with qualification coming out of their **** guess who got it first?

Not the number crunchers but a lowly junior who only been with us since Xmas.

Just shows having bits of paper with qualifications does always mean you know it all, does it !!!!

Don't have excel here.  oo scalc read the file ok (and enforced password check) but wouldn't allow password to be applied to saved document when saved in excel format.  (But I (eventually) got the right answer..)
