Well it will soon, as our parent company, Hewlett Packard, are trying to enforce a permanent pay reduction, but that's the subject of another thread, maybe

On the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia I am currently paying
the equivalent of 48.1p/L for diesel ($1.07/L Aust.).
At the same time Petrol is costing around 51.7p/L ($1.15/L Aust.)
By the way eye you made a mistake with converting GBP to AUD when you said...
Today the local Tescos was selling diesel @ 99.9p/l.
This has gone up 1p/l today
$1.1264aud or 1.1264 euros
99.9p/L = $2.22AUD/L

Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for correcting
Slip of the finger when cutting and pasting.
At your prices it may pay me to get you to send over a couple of litres of diesel

Diesel still cheap here, but in Sydney petrol is cheaper monday but dearer thursday and friday, as petrol price can change up to 15cent's per Lt from one end of the week to other end of the week, but diesel just seems to stay same 7 days.
Hey Shambles well done Man U, hey looking at all that red i'm wondering why Fergie is not red?
also the Dutchess Fergie is a redhead , she was in the new's here saying she is going to run along an aussie beach in a bikini on her 50th.
cheers

still the same price here Eye, i checked again just tonight
seems to change on a Monday at 1 retailer and a Thursday at another.
Wonder if they collude so they get extra sales in the intervening period

Eye, it might be due to higher demand for Diesel in UK?
As here diesel just stays same price monday to sunday unless there is a rise or fall, but it has been 115.9 at one servo near me for the past month, most servo's put the price of petrol up wednesday afternoon and it can go up again friday then drops back monday and tuesday. but that's the big oil co's as an indy i see has his price of petrol and diesel the same monday to sunday never changes. the oil co's make big $ from a two cent rise. but that's how it work's. you adjust to demand. if people stop buying on weekends it would stay down, but people don't.
cheers.

It will probably go up on Thursday 9 April and go down on Tuesday 14 April to fleece people going away for Easter

Was in a place called Warrington yesterday, some 20 miles from my gaff.
Diesel was 101.9ppl unleaded 96.9ppl
Home territory diesel 96.9ppl, unleaded 88.9ppl
So why the difference especially when Warrington is nearer the distribution depot?
They always say higher cost because of transport costs to distribute BUT Warrington is nearer the distribution depot than home. So using that logic it should be cheaper!
