Title: i30 '07, new headunit, missing outside temp
Post by: elvisdk on November 08, 2013, 12:02:46
Hey all

I recently bought a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT to replace the factory mounted head unit.
When installing this new headunit, i loose the outside temp reading which was on the factory unit.

I've thought of a few solutions;

- standard outside thermometer with blue led mounted over the rear view mirror
- new rear view mirror with external thermometer
- rds thermometer

People who have installed new HU's, what have you done ?

Best regards  :)

Thank you.

I think i'll buy a RDS Temperature unit.
Anyone know where the original outside temperature sensor is located ?

best regards

There are 2 temp sensors mounted just behind the front grille.
