Thanks guys, I'll take some pics after she's been polished and waxed with black fire, which is meant to be the best combo for black paint. It is said to give the illusion of fire over ice.
You reckon? I've read nothing but good reviews on Blackfire and all state its the ultimate polish and wax combo for black paint. Polishedbliss.com even recommends it for black paint as well and their a very reputable site.

"You reckon"....hmmmm....... I have been detailing for a long time and this is the first I have heard of this product..... so I put it to many professional detailers and many have not heard of it and no-one would recommend it , let alone use it.....just remember , what you read is not necessarily what the product turns out to be....and you have to wonder why professional detailers throughout Australia have not heard or use it.......hmmmm....
can you supply a before and after photo of the " illusion of fire over ice"...that would be well appreciated.....
Neptune, what is in your opinion the best detailing brand? I use a lot of megs on my older car but It doesn't seem "premium" enough to put on my new car. Looking around I really like the look and range offered by Swissvax, have you had any experience with this brand before?

On a side note the mud flaps and foot well lights came in the post today! The mud flaps are pretty straight forward to install but what i didn't realize is that the foot well light install requires you to drill holes into the trim! Might get my local Hyundai service centre to install these. Will post pics when done.

I did go to bunnings to find a right hand screw driver but they said they didn't sell any, as for taking the tyres off, my drive way is a steep slop so it wouldn't be safe.
i've never used mud flaps on my i30's. as would cause wind drag at speeds 100kph up. every bit counts. i save on cost of mud flap & fuel.

In fact it makes the car more aerodynamic as they deflect the wind under and around the lower wing part

Daz...take them off...buff them up....then put a couple of coats of that clear Armoural on.....
