Wow!!!! Who remembers the "Fine Cotton" affair?
Fine Cotton trainer allowed back on track after 29 years (http://brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/fine-cotton-trainer-allowed-back-on-track-after-29-years-20131129-2ygs3.html)

I wonder why they've gone soft on him, I always suspect ulterior motives when inexplicable things happen?????

Life ban should be, for life. :disapp:

Exactly, I was going to point out that he is not dead....

Yet another sentence not carried out, gotta love justice(or the lack of it)like Phil said Life to me means Life.

Rick, it wasn't a life "sentence" imposed by a court of law. Hayden Haitana, the trainer, received a life ban from attending race tracks by a sports governing body, Racing Queensland.
Hardly anything to get worked up about that after 29 years he's allowed to go back to a race meeting at a race track.

UM,well aware of who handed down the sentence, whether a court, governing council of a sporting body or hobby body, life means life, anyhow since this happened all those years ago and yes I do remember it,he probably has still had his finger in the pie.
-
Rick, my point was that it's not a "sentence", it's a ban.

And here I thought this thread was about Alan finally making it out of the HOS. :head_butt:

A life ban in this instance should be a life ban, as it is a ban on an occupation, not personal liberty. For 29 years, the dude has been able to live with it.
