Title: Ruby @ 45k
Post by: Phil №❶ on December 16, 2013, 01:16:04
Ruby's in for her 45k service. We supplied oil & filter. $50 to change the coolant, but we want to use their stuff.

Faults, extended cranking at 1st startup, but no smoke. They are keeping her overnight so they can check it tomorrow am. :Good_luck:

never had glow plug troubles yet, first i30 97k? when sold this one has 58K up first one took a bit longer for glow plug light to go off, the newer one has the u2 motor like GD & glow plug light goes out intently almost. they say wait for light to go out b4 starting as can damage glow plugs. but who knows. if they are on the blink get some Start Ya Barstard it's got rather in it.

The glow plugs will not be damaged because you start before the light goes out.
Actually the glow plugs keep's heating for about 30-45 seconds after the light goes out.

We were "told" that none were operative, but she was starting ok still. Probably due to Summer temperatures. :Dunno:
