I bought this tother day and I know that some of our club use tablets and thought I would share.
As you know I only work a few days a month, and then only if I am lucky, this is the only time I need access to the interweb through my ipad.
Since we are pretty much all skinflints who look for the BEST for the LEAST money I decided to share this with ya'll. It cost me £70 and came to 6 gigs of usage preloaded. The guy in the shop really, I mean RAELLY, wanted me to take a monthly contract for data. I explained to him twice that I don't need a contract as my usage wasn't gonna be very high he eventually gave up and sold me the item for the £69 :victory:...
I got it home and immediately set it up and connected my iPad Mini (after a little cuffufle finding the wireless key hidden under the cover) it zoomed onto the net at 4G. So now when I am at work and some legal question arises I can go and find the case law to solve the problem.
My Ipad was 219 UKPS with wifi only, to have it with wifi AND 3G would have been another hundred and a CONTRACT.... so this puts me miles ahead of the dopes who pay the big bucks to MR Apple to have wifi and 3G.
I now have wifi and 4G for less money than Mr Apple wanted for 3G...
I seldom win but when I do it sure makes me feel good. Oh and if there are any dopes who bought the expensive Apple with both just let me bask in this for a moment, thank you :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Lester, I think your having to many jovial boozy trips out. If you re-read carefully you'll notice that I mention that I have WIFI like everyone else <sigh>...
You can't get WIFI free or not in an area where wifi is not provided.
Let me try to make this more simple. When I am in an area where there are not BT WIFI HOTSPOTS (and there are many of them) I can still access the web now using 3/4G....
I too have BT super fast, and I too have the BT APP on all my devices. However as I often go over Pendle Hill, on them wild North Yorkshire moors, and also travel through the desolate area called WALES there aint too many wifi hotspots, so then's when my dongle thingy comes into it's own.
I do hope this clears this up for ya Lester... I can't come over and explain, the hospital at Heswall has gone tits up and no0one will tell me why :scared: :scared:

but i'm not into pc's like the nerds in here :lol: but they are all tops in my book. my old windows 7 lap top just won't hook up to the same wi fi 3g i use, it did at one time, but now refuses to work online or go online ( will have to tell Tony ) :lol:
Apple works for me, have not needed to buy anything to go with it yet, just different to the windows but in end they all do the same thing.
bit like having a manual car & clutch starting with flat battery , then buying an auto & getting a flat battery & thinking if i had a manual i'd clutch start it, you can push start an auto i have, just need to do it differently. old dog new tricks.

I weighed up whether to get the 3 or 2, and had a look at the differences. At the time, the iPad 3 had 4G access (which didn't work on Australian 4G), and a higher resolution screen and camera. I wasn't using it for high definition stuff so didn't need them.
All in all, I should have waited for the iPad mini, it fits much easier on a knee board. :whistler:

As it has been sunny here today i went off on my push bike along the wirral way.
Did 18 miles so building up nicely to do the mega cycle trip at easter.
Got to heswall and from the ww the place looked deserted. No cars in car park, no lights on , no windows open, no noises, no people visible in or outside.
It was like the mary celeste......
Being nosey i went around to the road and the front of the building.
Sign at entrance says Regency hospital.
Looking up the drive the road surface looked as if no vehicles had been up there for a while, road had debris which would normally be cleared by vehicles brushing it away, and what i presume is the main entrance was in darkness, i.e. no lights on..
Hope this info give you more to go on and whether it is still operational?

I think the place still belongs to the owners who will now have to decide, sell up, or, try again. Trying again does not look promising. I mean, all the start money has been spent once starting up the first time. To do it all again they'd need very sympathetic bankers :'( :'(
We'll just have to see what happens, a contact/ex employee has moved to another hospital which I serve and says that all the employees (some of whom have received no wages) have been summoned to a meeting there next week I think she said. She clearly wont be attending as she is now happy and settled at this other hospital.

That's all about to change Lester, my understanding now is that contracts have been signed and deals done, so I expect things to get moving anytime soon.

Been that busy with beer fest and a few otherthings.
Went past hossie 2 weeks ago and there were a few contractor vans in the car park.
Grass looked neat but all windows shut.

I just dropped back to regular broadband from super fast because it's expensive (to me) and I really don't need super fast anyhow cos I don't do anything which requires superfast (stream live porn, download porn movies, watch live TV on the computer) so I almost get that same speed on regular speed broadband.
16mg on average. Which if I watch catch up TV seems to work just fine.

Update
Went past yesterday whilst on bike ride.
Looked empty, 2 cars in car park, the grass and gardens neat and tidy.
Looked as if the building and rear entrance doors, cycling along the track which runs past the rear, had been given a spruce up and windows open and the mess around the rear fenced in area cleared.
