Title: Phone Auto Answer
Post by: pauloc on February 03, 2014, 20:54:59
Is it possible to set the i30's phone to Auto Answer
In my i35 the phone rings and picks up after 5 rings, a great feature.
I cannot find how to set this in our new i30.

Reading again i'm confused a bit after the last reply.

Do you mean the call is answered so you connect to the caller without physically pressing the green phone button on the sterring wheel or the phone's answer button.

Or

The phone defaults to the telecom providers answer phone which you have as part of your mobile phone service?

Righto the instructions are not in my Manuel either,I'm pretty sure I stumbled across it by accident, one day when I was screwing around with the radio settings, when trying to connect a new phone,

Step One- make sure your personal phone or the one you use in the car is set in it's options to auto answer

Step Two- turn the ignition on and make sure the radio is on

Step Three- press the green phone button,a bluetooth menu will come up,turn the tune knob until the settings menu word comes up,push the tune knob.

Step Four- when you have done step three the first item to come up on the menu(should be)Auto Answer, when this comes up,turn the tune knob again, you should have,5 sec,10 sec,15 sec and off as you turn the tune knob, select your seconds you want,I have mine set on 5 sec(otherwise my phone goes to message bank)once the required secs are showing press the tune knob to enter the selection.

You should be then good to go.

sorry for taking so long but have been working flat out in the yards the last three days trying to get everything done before having to return to work next week.

Hope this helps those who have these options

Thanks Rick-without the P

These instructions do not work with my new audio system that includes the touch screen navigation system.
They do work with the old ix35 cd/radio.

Can anybody else help????
