Title: DIESEL ENGINE OIL TYPE
Post by: panthersteve on February 12, 2014, 22:58:23
Hi all

Please forgive the thread resurrection and the fact I am about to ask a question that I think is in definite newbie territory.

Am I understanding it correctly that Oz delivered diesel I30's do not have DPF and therefore require a B4 oil ?   :)

Cheers
Steve

Welcome Steve...  :goodjob:

As Phil so eloquently said, the answer is yes, our i30 diesels don't have a DPF so require a B4 oil.
This can be confirmed if you pop the bonnet and look at the engine cover on which you should find a yellow sticker confirming the lack of DPF.
