Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson was declared a "disgrace" for tweeting a picture of deployed oxygen masks just moments after it was announced that Malaysia Airlines MH370 had crashed into the Indian Ocean.
The picture was accompanied with the words: "The oxygen masks have deployed. Goodbye everyone."
Clarkson aircraft photo sparks fury - BT (http://home.bt.com/news/worldnews/clarkson-aircraft-photo-sparks-fury-11363887278283)

I presume he's not planning a trip to China in the near future.
He'll get death by 1000 cuts if he does.
What a Dead s*** cretin.
-
How could he possibly think that was funny? What a plonker! :fum:
-
It's in the same league as the pictures posted on this forum a few days ago.
-
The man is a complete asshole !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
This is his stock in trade, mindless offensiveness. No one should be surprised really.
-
The license you can give to his tweet is that he was flying to Russia at the time and suddenly the oxygen masks deployed in the aircraft. His message was sponsored by that - and he didn't stop to think that some people would associate it with the 777 crash which happened a couple of weeks ago.
If anyone else had sent that message in those circumstances it would have been overlooked - but Clarkson has form and he is a target.
Because of that he should know better.
-
All publicity in the end.
-
What a beat up. Only fools would associate this tweet with the tragic loss of MH370. As a comment on the article said, over 20,000 people died today due to starvation, does that mean we shouldn't take photos of food?
FFS!!!!

Not that I would have associated that tweet with the recent loss of MH370,but I have to agree Clarkson is a Bone head,I'm not that keen on the man.
I don't mean to be insensitive here, but anyone who thought they were going to find that plane after a week, where living in Fantasy land,if it still wasn't selling papers and bringing in money for the TV stations,we'd hear nothing more about it,the last aircraft that disappeared without trace, took them four years to find the black bock and they found very little wreckage.
The way Malaysian Airlines have handled this from the start is an absolute disgrace.

Although the Malaysians could have been more forthcoming with info, they have been walking a litigious tightrope for 3 weeks. They have to be very careful about what they report and in the correct order, a very difficult situation.
