Seeing as how I have no knowledge of installing electronics, I'll probably have to send the car and parts to an autobody shop for installation, probably looking at another $800-$1000 for labour.

Comments :)?

Some nice mods there! If you have the cash and intend keeping your car for 4 or 5 years go for it...

I think a couple have been done or referred to on here before.

The DRL's and HID upgrade would be the two priorities if it were me!  :goodjob:

Thanks for sharing this! - I've been waiting for a post that addresses all these mods in a long time.

I'm currently in the process to install the LED tail lights, which I have received this week from KMP Trade (the same link you provided here). If you need some feedback I can tell you the guys were really fast to ship and delivery took only 6 working days to the Netherlands, where I am right now for work related reasons. Once I come back home I will install them - I cannot wait to do it! I'll post some pics of the process of course.

Probably next mod will be LED turning signals for my new tail lights, but I still need to recover from that expense, ouch!

Cheers.

Great list there, avexdevil  :goodjob:

Possible correction though, I believe the GD uses H7 globes in both high and low beam lights...  :undecided:

It's not a difficult job to do, except for fitting the Audi style light ribbons. You will need to pull the headlight body apart. That can be tricky and introducing moisture is a possibility too.

This is probably a dumb question but will replacing the factory high beams with these improve distance? And once installed do my lights need to be adjusted?

Tail/Rear LED (incl. turn signal) upgrade kit:
LED Rear Tail Light Lamp 4pcs FIT Hyundai 2012 2013 Elantra I30 5DOOR | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OEM-LED-Rear-Tail-Light-Lamp-4Pcs-Fit-HYUNDAI-2012-2013-ELANTRA-I30-5DOOR-/261114750793?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ccba6e749&vxp=mtr)

Total cost: $680 including postage
What are your plans to install the turning lights into the tail LED case? I guess you're considering those turning/reverse LED modules which is a DIY job. I still don't want to experiment and modify much my new LED tail lights (which I plan to install tonight - pictures to come).

Have you found instructions on how to do it?
