Is the boot button between the unlock and lock buttons suppose to do anything. I have done every thing to make it work. hold it down, tap it twice, etc. Nada. Other than that the key works fine, and the distance from where I can lock it and lock it from is amazing. I'm sure that I could unlock my car from Antarctica. Anyone else have this problem?
-
I don't use it but I'm pretty sure it unlocks the boot while leaving everything else locked.
There's been discussion on here before, so someone will have more info.
-
You have to hold it down for a few seconds. From memory if you use it to unlock the boot, then put something in and close it, it automatically relocks itself too... :goodjob:
-
Cool Thanks! I just mess with stuff, even if I never use it, I will try it at least once to see if it works. lol.
-
@Dazzler, I will go try it now. At work and bored. Be back in a few.

I like it when paramedics are at work and bored. A lot like my last job.

Alright..... Operator error..... I see how it works now. So its only for unlocking the boot, and keeping the rest of the car locked. I thought it was going to release the latch and pop the boot. :goodjob2: :goodjob2: :goodjob2: :goodjob2:

I have great respect for the paramedics and police I used to work with.
I have moved on to work less, get paid more, and have less stress. I loved EMS flying, it was some of the most challenging flying I have done, but I had to move on.

Why on earth would you want to work less and get paid more?????
I hear ya. I've been doing this for 10 years, Intensive Care Paramedic. I'm ready to start looking at new things.

Staying on topic on this forum is not a strong suite
When you press and hold the boot button, the indicators should flash twice telling you that the boot switch is active. It will also flash when you close the boot, marking the locking of the car.

Staying focused on topic is not easy when tired and at work lol
Thanks Hati. Just found that out a little while ago. Im just use to other cars I had that have the boot unlatch. I was standing there the other day feeling like a spastic, wondering why it wouldn't open. Guess that's what I get for not reading the manual on boot operation

You don't need to sleep at home, you have a bed in the back of your work car..... :whistler:
I always say be nice to the Doctors, Nurses and Ambo's, you want them putting in 110% if something bad happens...

haha. I was sleeping at work. Two nights to go. ... Got seven hours paid sleep. Can't complain.
Yeah, most people are okay. You have some that are rude, and as much as you would like to be rude back. You normally don't, because they are the ones most likely to pull you into a frivolous lawsuit. But we do have our occasions lol.

When I tell people that I was an EMS pilot, they asked what EMS stood for. I said, "Earn Money Sleeping".

Or "Extra Martial Sex (not me at all)" and "Every Minute Sucks"

I admit I did a double take since I use EMS for Electro Magnetic Spectrum. :snigger:

That's how it works in mine too. I wonder how many people has put their keys into the boot while putting their stuff in there, and then closed it with keys still inside... :whistler:

Have you done it?

Nope. I have used just the Door unlock button, so it will not lock automatically after closing. Furthermore, with stuff to put in I just put my hand into the pocket and press the button, not getting the key out before going in.

It may be smart enough to not let you do that! My Hybrid has proximity key and will not let you do that!

I must try that later today.
