Very impressive  (We are model train enthusiasts and will be expanding our track layout in the new house but not to that extent..)

Hey Dazz
I still have an 8x12ft n gauge layout packed away under my dads house. Had also displayed
it at the Brisbane model train show a few times about 18 years ago :). Sorry no pics at this time tho if i find them i will post them up.

Just looks like the 1 I had when I was a kid.
Mine went from Lands End to John O'Groats.
Dad worked for the railways

That's a good size our current one is roughly 8' x 6' jammed in a 10' x 10' spare bedroom...(but it's all jumbled up with other stuff at the moment - so no pix)
In the new house we plan to expand it to at least 4' x 16' in our Rumpus which is roughly 16' x 23' (so a lot more workable arrangement)
That German one is mind boggling  The one in Hobart called "Alphenrail" is good but probably only 10% of the area...

MIne's still in bits under the bed where its been for 20 years :( - must bring it out again one day
