I priced a leather re-trim today at a well-known and respected trimmer here in Perth W.A. and it is going to cost around $2500 for a total interior re-trim in high quality leather, cheaper of course for thinner leather. I was wondering how this compares if anyone else has done the sums?
Also priced a Hollandia 700 series sunroof - a tad under three grand including rain sensor/auto close.
I thought it would have been good if these things were offered as Hyundai options as in other countries, but when the dealer quoted me $1100 for reverse sensors and $985 for blue tooth(!!), maybe not.

The Leather re-trim, sounds like better value than the sunroof to me anyway..
-
Thanks Daz, I think that will be the priority for me too. I intend keeping the car for the next five years so might as well try to get some of life's little luxuries if possible.
-
No worries.. Us db's have got to stick together..
so a leather re-trim would include Front and back seats and door linings .. anything else?
-
Just front & rear & door trims, nothing else, but there is the option of what style and whether I want plain leather all over or the perforated leather on the bit you sit on. Had a look at some of their work and it was very good. Just not sure whether grey or (almost) black.

What colour is your car? The wife ands I aren't big fans of black interiors (a bit dark and depressing..)
For example like the Grey interior in the current civic over the black of the Euro..
-
The car is white. The leather they called black actually looked like dark grey to me, but there is also a lighter grey available, so I'll wait until the car arrives this week and see what will match in best with the rest of the interior I guess.
-
If you get it done, please post some pictures.
I am interested in doing it, if I ever get my car that is.
-
No worries, will do.
-
I like Black interior!
my hair is grey
What type of leather? like goat sheep pig so on?
most quality cars come with Connely Hide, just not sure what that comes from but big difference in the different hides.
