Title: How Kind....
Post by: rustynutz on April 22, 2014, 07:22:40
Bikies can gather at Anzac Day services without being charged, says Queensland’s top cop

ANZAC Day may provide outlaw motorcycle gangs with the chance to gather without being charged under Queensland’s tough bikie laws.

Commissioner Ian Stewart said police were not planning to target criminal gangs who may gather during Anzac Day services.

That may give bikies a window of opportunity to catch up illegally.

However, Mr Stewart said there would be no room for criminal behaviour on the day.

“The message is clear,” he said.

“If you are not breaking the law, you have no need to be concerned, but maintaining public order and community safety is paramount to the QPS.

“Demonstrations of violence or criminal activity by anyone, let alone criminal gangs will not be tolerated.”

Mr Stewart said police would uphold Anzac traditions, and thus any necessary investigations into suspected criminal activity would be conducted after services finished.

Steve, it might make you gasp, but the hauls of drugs, cash and stolen or misbegotten property are massive.
And of course, everyone they arrest and charge is "innocent".

Trev, you might also mention that many of these bikies aren't guilty of anything other than associating with their mates....  :head_butt:

With all the people you know, odds are some have probably been less than honest in the past, how would you like to be arrested for simply catching up for a quiet drink at the local?  :undecided:

Check on the "history" of a couple of the Yandina 5.
And to answer your question, honestly, I stay away from anyone I know who's got a history. Why? When they've "served their debt to society?
Well. Because I'm uncomfortable around those typre of people.
I know plenty of people I'm happy to associate with and don't need to go digging around elsewhere.

What types of people? Do you think all crims only dress or act in a certain way?
Your next door neighbour might have a criminal history for all you know, doesn't stop him from appearing to be the nicest, most honest bloke in the world....
