Title: Turning Circle...
Post by: Dazzler on April 09, 2009, 12:41:46
Hi Folks,

Have had to do some tight U-turns in my SLX lately.. love the turning circle for what is basically a mid-size vehicle..

I realize the SR with 17" wheels has a bigger turning circle..

How does everyone else find it?

Awesome (& I have an SR with those beautiful 17's). Then again my previous car was a Kia Carnival!

If there is one thing about the 18 inch wheels which spoil the car it is the cruise ship turning circle which come with them

I still manage to balls up some parking attempts after years of throwing the scooby in spaces

I didn't find the turning circle wonderful in my SLX.
With either the 16" stockies or the 17" Lenso's.

It wasn't bad, but my little 92 Ford Laser was much better...hehe

When I had the courtesy Getz for a few days I had some fun with that in the car park.
Its so easy to park.
:P

We used to have a getz and I don't think my SLX is much worse than that...

I can do a u-turn in most thoroughfares without taking two bites....

Your "Lemon" might have had a problem with the steering as well

That reminds me, I saw a girl trying to park her Getz outside Woolies the other night.
The spot she was aiming for was so big, yet she still managed to tkae 5 goes to park and ended up about 2 metres away from the gutter on an angle.
You could have fit a small truck in there easily!

Dazz are you waisting time going in circles mate?

Well i was used to my Falcon Ute, so the i30 seems to turn in a tight enough circle, but if i wanted to i could do circle work in the Ute that the i30 could not imitate.
