Hi all,
My steering wheel horn has stopped working . Checked the 15A blade fuse which is fine? Could it be the relay or the horn itself? Does the car have 2 horns? I have found one horn which is next to the windscreen wash container? Where would the other one be located? Also which one is used for steering wheel horn?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there one down by the radiator.
I think you can see it when you look through the grill.
Have the connectors come loose or corroded?

There are 2 horns & a relay.
Look at this

I would disconnect the 2 horns and with a 2nd person, open the bonnet and check that the relay is working, you will need a test light or multimeter to do this test.
If the relay is not working, substitute with another & try again. If that one works, then replace the relay.
If still not working, then the problem must be in the steering wheel itself which will require further investigation.
If the original relay is working, clean the contacts on the horns and the wiring and re attach.

Hi,
Thanks, I can see the horn through the grill in front of the radiator. Haw do you access it? It looks like you have to take the bumper off.

Thank you for your help. Can I take a different relay out temporarily and use for the horn just to check if the relay is faulty? its difficult to get to the horn that is located behind the radiator so it may be quicker this way. Do you pull the relays out like the blade fuses?

As far as I know, yes, they usually have 4 connectors, so make sure you orient them the same way, suggest you take a pic with mobile b4 you remove any, then make sure after testing that they are replaced, exactly the same way.

Hi Parade
:wttc:
The horn in front is the warning horn, the horn next to the washer container is for the alarm.
You don't have to remove the bumper, just remove those plastic screw on top of the front and you can access the horn.

Thanks everyone... managed to get to the horn and found a loose cable. The horn is now working. This forum is brilliant. Thanks you for all the replies :)
