We never saw those cars in the UK. Looking back it's hard to believe that Leyland were capable of creating such a vehicle.

However - it's a pity about the colour - I nice coat of gloss black or even brushed-on Hammerite - would be a drastic improvement.

Leyland Australia did send two P76s to the UK for evaluation, with a view to selling them under the Vanden Plas banner, but this did not happen as before it could, the Australian operation was closed by the the parent company in the U.K.
However, the two cars did survive and are owned by a collector in England.
I actually use those two cars on my business card and may have posted them before. They are Country Cream (cream) and Home On Th'Orange (orange) respectively.

Beat me too it,I was going to ask who Dave got to take the photo's,in all seriousness great photo's Dave,but speaking of bodies,keep putting the hairy P up but we'll pass on any of yours  :rofl:
