Yeah, we've laughed about that one before.. :D

2 trip meters would be good. My Dad's 02 Forrester has 2. It can come in handy having that second trip meter.
I think it's previously been mentioned but have fuel consumption to 2 decimal places, an instantaneous consumption would be great also.

Daniel

yes my hilux has 2 trip meters and they go over 10000 km

Even the Getz has 2! Come on Hyundai! Consistency!!

You could use a Scanguage II. Do a search of the forum. There has been plenty written about them.

+1
The first time I knew I was going to get over the 1000KMs per tank I flipped the trip computer over to display that rather than fuel consumption.
Was thinking how stupid when it reset back after 999 KMs
Also as others have said. Two trip meters. This must be doable via a flash of the computer ??

You'd sure think so. The Getz I was loaned last week had TRIP-A and TRIP-B meters

Hey Shambles how old was the getz you drove (was it the one with the oval grill - say 2006 or later) and
how did you find it compared to the other loaner you got before?
And don't say "I walked out of the dealer's office and there it was"

Hi Dazz. It was a Dec 2007 1.1 model ("57 plate" in UK terms) but I have to admit I didn't look at the front. Compared with the previous Suzuki it was delightful to drive, and the aircon came in very handy with last Friday being the start of our mini-heatwave :) It was a little unstable on the motorway at 70mph.
So, why did it have dual trip meterage yet our grandiose beasts have just the one
-
Cant hazard a guess why we only get 1 trip meter.. (although when I've had two I haven't used them..)
We only get the 1.4 & 1.6 Getz over here (if it was 2007 then it would be same series I had)
The 1.6 we had was nearly as much fun to drive as an i30...

My Santa Fe, which doesn't have a trip computer, has two trip meters. May be the cheap models without a trip computer have 2 trip meters but the ones with the trip computers have only one trip meter.
Now who is confused by what I just wrote :'( :'( ?
 I am!

That was as clear as ....mud... (but we get the idea )
But using that argument SX would have two trip meters..

Getz here get used a fair bit as hire cars, so they're going to be doing some mileage! Maybe that's why? :D (I doubt it, but hey. :) )

Guys, I have 2009 i30 (2L Auto). Only picked it up yesterday, so have not seen 999 limit yet.
michael_i30 mentioned that there was a display of fuel consumption display (reading michael_i30 has SLX diesel).
Is there a way to change the trip computer so that it displays fuel consumption on my SX petrol?
-
No Trip Computer on SX model sorry.. :winker:
-
mine can't count past 999km :(
